I was born in the lush forests of the Elm, and as part of the so-called Zillennial generation, I combine a natural ease in the digital world with a deep love for everything analog.
After studying political science and sociology at the Georg-August University, I continued into design, where I could transform my observations into visual communication. I hold a Master’s in Integrated Design from HAWK University Hildesheim. Since I was 18, I have been working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator for mid-sized companies and sustainable projects. Since 2023, I have also worked as a PR assistant at HAWK, where I am responsible for press work, social media, and event reporting.
My design journey started much earlier. As a child, I proudly announced that I would become a “packaging artist” because I was fascinated by gum wrappers and colourful cigarette boxes, not yet knowing the proper term. At 14, I completed my first design internship, and since then, design has been an integral part of my life.
At the core of my work is craft. I love paper and everything that communicates through material. I learned bookbinding and practiced almost every analog print technique. I forged my own silver jewelry, I crochet, and I fell in love with weaving at the loom. Pottery was the one craft that did not work out for me, but my next goal is to work with glass. I believe that working with our hands empowers us, and it empowers me, which is why I dedicated my Master’s thesis “Frau und Werk” to researching and designing around women in craft.
Outside of work, I collect vinyl, go to as many concerts as possible, and photograph with my analog camera. I am proudly a Swiftie and love spending time outdoors and close to nature.
Today, I design books, brands, and visual communication. I create my own art projects, and I teach design thinking and typography workshops. In everything I do, storytelling, materiality, and craft are inseparably connected.
